The fine print
Privacy
Short version: we collect what we need to call you back about your job, we use it for that, and we don't do anything else with it.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we receive what you type: your name, phone number, email if you give one, the suburb, and whatever you tell us about the job and the building. If you use the Building Run planner, the answers you chose are included in your enquiry so you don't have to repeat them; they're visible in the message before you send it, and you can edit or delete them.
Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical logs (such as country-level request data) to keep the site working and fend off abuse. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't use marketing cookies.
Our spam defence is a single hidden field in the form that people never see and bots tend to fill in. It collects nothing from you; if it's filled, we just quietly bin the message.
What we use it for
Contacting you about your enquiry, planning the job, and doing the job. That's the list. We may share your enquiry with a suitable local provider to service your request; that is the one sharing we do, and it exists so your job gets done.
What we never do
- No selling or renting your details to anyone.
- No mailing lists you didn't ask for.
- No keeping details longer than a normal business record requires.
Your choices
Want to know what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted? Ask through the enquiry form and we'll sort it. If you believe we've mishandled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
This page describes how this site actually behaves; if our practices change, this page changes first.
